T&Cs

Kitten Grooming: At Felinity we groom cats starting from 14 weeks old and refrain from providing lion cuts until they are at least 18 months old. This policy ensures the appropriate grooming of young cats and promotes their comfort during the grooming process.

Matted Hair Removal: At Felinity, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your cat during grooming sessions. Please be aware of the following policy regarding matted coats:
Mat Removal Approach:
Severely matted coats may require shaving instead of continual de-matting to minimize stress and discomfort for your cat.
Potential Risks:
Removing mats can carry risks, including the possibility of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to underlying warts, moles, or skin folds. Moisture trapped by matting can also lead to skin irritations or bacterial growth.
After Effects:
After mat removal, temporary effects such as itchiness, redness, or self-inflicted irritation may occur. Hair regrowth may also vary.
Prevention and Regular Grooming:
Regular grooming and at-home care can help prevent matting. We recommend scheduling grooming appointments every six weeks to maintain a healthy coat. We will not continually de-mat your cat as it is your responsibility to prevent mating by scheduling regular grooming appointments or by taking care of their coat at home.

Please note that additional fees apply for mat or knot removal. Our goal is to ensure the comfort and well-being of your cat throughout the grooming process.

Accidents: Safety is our priority at Felinity. In the unlikely event of an accident during grooming, we will notify you promptly and take necessary action. Your cat's well-being is our utmost concern at all times.

Aggressive or Dangerous Cats: To ensure the safety of our staff and provide the best care for your cat, we have implemented the following policy for aggressive cats:
Disclosure of Aggressive History:
If your cat has a history of aggression or has bitten people in the past, it is crucial to inform us prior to scheduling a grooming appointment. This allows us to take necessary precautions and plan accordingly.
Muzzle Usage:
In some cases, muzzles may be required to ensure the safety of both the cat and our staff during grooming sessions. This helps to minimize the risk of injuries.
Right to Refuse or Stop Service:
We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming services if we determine that the cat's aggressive behavior poses a significant risk to our staff or the cat itself. This decision is made in the interest of safety and well-being.
Owner Responsibility:
While we take all necessary precautions, it is important to acknowledge that aggressive behavior can still pose risks. In the event that your cat bites our staff or damages property, you, as the owner, accept full responsibility for any resulting injuries, medical bills, or property damage.
Non-Refundable Deposit:
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure appointments. If a grooming session is terminated due to aggression, the deposit will not be refunded.

By scheduling a grooming appointment for your cat, you acknowledge and agree to comply with this aggressive cat grooming policy. Our priority is to provide a safe and stress-free experience for all involved.

Health or Medical Problems, Senior Cats: By booking a grooming appointment for your cat with health or medical problems or a senior cat at Felinity, you acknowledge that grooming may reveal underlying health conditions. In such cases, if veterinary care is necessary, it will be at the expense of the owner. You agree to provide accurate health information, grant us permission to groom your cat, release us from liability, and comply with applicable laws. We will make necessary accommodations and adjustments, to ensure your cat is comfortable during the service. Felinity reserves the right to cancel services where a cat with a potentially infectious condition exists.

Parasites:At Felinity, we prioritize a flea-free environment. If your cat has a known or suspected flea infestation, please inform us before scheduling an appointment. We reserve the right to refuse grooming services for cats with active flea infestations. In the event that fleas are found during your cat's treatment, an additional fee will be incurred for disinfecting purposes. This policy ensures the well-being of all cats and maintains a clean and safe environment.
Ticks found will be removed and grooming may cease at whatever stage it is at.

Vaccinations: We require that all kittens have completed their third round of vaccinations before they can be groomed at Felinity. Adult cats are required to be up to date with their vaccinations as per your vet’s recommendations.

Social Media: At Felinity, we understand the joy of capturing beautiful moments of our furry clients and sharing them with our online community. Our social media policy ensures transparency and respect for the privacy of our valued customers.

Matted Cat Policy: At Felinity, we have a matted cat policy that includes an additional charge for grooming sessions involving significant matting. We will assess your cat's coat condition during a pre-grooming consultation and discuss the extent of matting and any extra fees. We prioritize your cat's comfort and well-being, utilizing appropriate techniques to address the mats, including gentle brushing or shaving if necessary. Regular grooming appointments are encouraged to prevent excessive matting.
